(MENAFN - Saudi Press Agency) Tunis, Mar. 25, 2021, SPA -- The Council of Arab Interior Ministers approved, at the conclusion of its work here today, forming a team of Arab experts concerned with monitoring and exchanging information on terrorist threats and analyzing them, a guiding mechanism to prevent terrorist fighters from moving to conflict areas and flashpoints in the Arab region and measures for dealing with their returnees. The Council approved forming a permanent committee for criminal statistics within the General Secretariat of the Council. It also approved the report on the work of Naif Arab University for Security Sciences (NAUSS) during the 37th and 38th sessions of the council. The Council expressed its appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for the constructive support being accorded to NAUSS by the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Council also expressed gratitude to and appreciation of Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior, Honorary President of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers and Chairman of the Supreme Council of NAUSS, for his generous patronage of the various activities of NAUSS as well as his efforts in supporting this Arab security scientific edifice. Moreover, the Council issued a declaration, which included its deep satisfaction with the results of the Al-Ula summit as it praised the valuable initiative taken by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to solve the crisis in the Republic of Yemen. The declaration also included condemning and denouncing the systematic and deliberate hostilities and sabotage being carried out by the terrorist Houthi militias against Yemenis and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and their threat to civilians and vital and civilian installations in addition to their attempts to target oil installations that do not target the Kingdom and its capabilities, but rather the core of the global economy and energy security. The Council expressed its full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its full support for it in facing these terrorist practices and attacks, and its absolute support for the measures it takes to preserve the security and safety of its people and residents on its territories. The Council also expressed its full support for the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen and its appreciation for the efforts it is taking to confront Houthi terrorist militia activities. The Council expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the repeated Iranian provocations in the territorial waters of the Arab countries and its firm condemnation of Iran's practices aimed at destabilizing security and stability in many Arab countries, undermining the peaceful coexistence among the components of Arab societies, and its support for the measures being taken by the Arab countries to confront them. --SPA 21:57 LOCAL TIME 18:57 GMT 0030 MENAFN25032021000078011016ID1101811929
