Arab coalition intercepts Houthi-fired drone

(MENAFN - Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) JEDDAH, April 6 (KUNA) -- The Arab coalition supporting legitimate Yemeni government announced Tuesday night that its forces had destroyed an explosive-laden drone launched by the Houthi militia towards civilian targets in the Saudi city of Khamis Mushait.In a press statement aired by the Saudi Press Agency, the coalition said that the repeated attempts by the Houthis to fire drones and ballistic missiles towards civilian targets are a blatant violation of international humanitarian law, adding that such acts are tantamount to war crimes.The Saudi-led coalition vowed that it would take necessary measures to protect civilians, and deter the Houthis in line with international humanitarian law.
