(MENAFN - The Peninsula) Doha: The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has announced that more than 110,000 people have used the COVID-19 Drive-Through Vaccination Centers at Lusail and Al Wakra. At present the centers cater for people receiving their second dose only.  'The centers cater only for people receiving their second dose. You will need to bring your vaccination card, showing the details of your first dose, to gain entry, said the Ministry on its twitter account.  'You must wait until the due date for your second dose — 21 days after the first dose for Pfizer/BioNTech and 28 days after the first dose for Moderna. No second doses will be administered earlier, people have been reminded.  The Ministry has also listed some simple tips to be followed by people who visit the drive through centres. It has asked people to come prepared with a drink, snack and to ensure there is enough fuel in the vehicle. Ramadan opening hours for the centers are from 1pm to midnight, seven days a week. 'Last entry is usually at 11pm, however, please note at times of very high demand this may be earlier, said the Ministry.  Those attending the drive-through must be in a vehicle to proceed for their vaccination, and with a maximum occupancy of four people per car. 'People attending the drive-through centers are seen on a first-come-first-seen basis. At peak times you may be required to wait while other people are seen first, said the Ministry.  'Plan your visit for when you know you do not have any important appointments within the next few hours, the Ministry said. For this reason, the Ministry has said that it is important to come prepared and bring a drink and small snack with in case the wait is longer than expected, bring a book to read or have something to listen to on your car stereo.  'Ensure that you have enough fuel in your car for the duration of your visit, the Ministry said.  People have also been advised to avoid bringing young children who may get impatient with any potential delay.  A total of 1,394,781 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered since the start of the national vaccination program. 39.5% of the eligible population has now received at least one dose of the vaccine and 84.3% of over 60s (the most vulnerable population group) have been vaccinated with at least one dose, while 71.2% have received both doses.MENAFN25042021000063011010ID1101978776
