(MENAFN - Gulf Times) Opener Sita Rana Magar rounded off the Qatar trip with an encouraging 82 not out and powered Nepal to a 3-0 win in the T20 International Series at the Asian Town Stadium on Thursday. Sita slammed seven boundaries in her 72-ball to dominate the match. Her knock saw Nepal post 164 for three. In reply, the tourists limited the home team at 55 for seven to pull off the third successive win. Sita was involved in a 67-run partnership with Jyoti Pandey for the second wicket. Jyoti hit 24 off 20 balls. Angelina Mare, Saachi Dhadwal and Aysha got a wicket each. In reply, Qatar could manage only 55 for seven in their batting quota, with Aleena Khan hitting 19 off 33 balls. Captain Aysha struck a six and a four in 13. Four players got run out, while Sabnam Rai, Saraswati Kumari and skipper Rubina Chhetry picked a wicket apiece. Sita Rana was adjudged the Player of the Match, while Chhetry earned the Player of the Series honour for her 50 runs and six wickets. On Wednesday, Rubina Chhetry turned in a skipper's performance and guided Nepal to a convincing 61-run triumph over hosts Qatar in the second match, sealing the series 2-0. Nepal rode a sparkling all-round display from Chhetry. First, the captain propelled them to a 129 for six with a responsible half-century. Then she emerged as the second best bowler with two for 12 behind Saraswati Kumari (four for 8) to set up the big win. Chhetry also added 56 runs for the third wicket with opener Kabita Kunwar, which took them to a safe-looking total. Her 48-ball knock contained a six and four boundaries. Kunwar also batted fluently to get 31 off 30 balls, including two sixes. Angeline Mare impressed with two for 28. Qatar captain Aysha grafted in to top-score for her team with 24 off 32 balls, which included two fours. On Friday, the visitors will leave for the UAE to compete in the Asia qualifying event for the ICC Women's T20 World Cup, which is slated to start from November 22.
