Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was robbed at knifepoint on Heavitree Road.

Soon after turning right on to Heavitree Road from Polsloe Road, a 20-year-old woman was approached by a man, thought to be in his late teens, at around 5.45pm on Wednesday 5 February.

The woman was walking towards Waitrose past new student accommodation close to the bus stop when the man demanded money and threatened her with a penknife, robbing her of cash and jewellery.

He made off in the uphill direction of Magdalen Road and Polsloe Road.

The suspect is described as being a white male, around 18 or 19 years old and 6ft in height, with a piercing to his right eyebrow. He was wearing a dark coloured hooded top and dark jeans.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have any information which could assist police enquiries is asked to call 101 quoting crime reference number, CR/010702/20.
