Police have today named a man who died following a collision in St Austell in September.

The incident occurred at around 3.50pm on Sunday 20 September on the B3279, Goverseth Hill, Foxhole, St Austell, and involved a blue Vauxhall Corsa and a black Jaguar F-Pace.

28-year-old Leon Commander and a 16-year-old boy, both from St Austell, died following the collision.

A third occupant, a 16-year-old boy, also from St Austell, was taken to hospital but has since been released and is recovering.

The occupant of the Jaguar, a man in his 50s, sustained minor injuries.

Police officers from St Austell and the Alliance Roads Policing Team attended, alongside Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service, ambulance and Cornwall Air Ambulance crews. The road was closed for around seven hours.
