"Million Meals March" by SOS Bali raised over 1 Billion Rupiah to provide 500,000 meals to the needy in Bali

of March 2021, Scholars of Sustenance held their first fundraising event of the year, Million Meals March, the sequel of Million Meals Paddle held on October last year, which was also a huge success.

65 participants joined Million Meals March, marching their way through 30 KM journey capturing the essence of Bali with the purpose of providing much-needed sustenance for the most vulnerable people of this island.

The journey started at Puri Anyar (The Royal Palace) of Kerambitan, home to the rich culture and history of this Balinese Kingdom, which dates back to the 1600s. The journey continued through the villages of Kerambitan, down to the dense jungles of Tabanan, through the Yeh Ho river, across the cascading rice fields, and finally to Kelating Beach.

The event was a perfect mix of adventure and indulgence, an amazing way to reconnect to the Balinese culture and nature, which created an unbelievable level of tenacity and spirit throughout the event. All participants, donors and sponsors all around the world have shown their utmost support and played their part in making this event a huge success, raising over 1 Billion Rupiah or equal to 500,000 meals.

All funds raised will be converted to nutritious meals in supporting Balinese families severely impacted by the pandemic.

Covid 19 has changed Bali lives greatly. However, with tenacity, support and resilience of this event along with the support from all participants, SOS amazing partners and everyone in the Kerambitan community that made this possible.
