What benefits does the programme offer? The implementation of this programme brings a wide range of benefits to the local community and the environment.Stingless bee breeding, also known as meliponiculture, improves pollination and crop development, specifically for the Cupuassu Tree, a commonly grown fruit tree in the Amazon region. Additionally, it helps to increase production and maintain biodiversity in the area.

The benefits of stingless bee breeding include:
Better development of crops, more pollination and larger crop yieldsThe Cupuassu tree relies on stingless bees to pollinate it - and this tree’s fruit is incredibly popular in the Amazon region The biodiversity of the region can be increased by increasing the numbers of stingless bees
What does Go Balance do?As part of their mission, Go Balance works towards preventing deforestation in the Amazon and promoting carbon offsetting efforts to support indigenous communities and preserve biodiversity in the region.

The CEO of Go Balance, Ciaran Kelly, is an expert in the carbon market and is dedicated to creating innovative solutions to combat climate change through carbon offsetting.
