New York mayor threatens to shut down churches that continue services (CNA)

New York Mayor Bill de Blasio has said that if churches in the city continue to hold public worship services despite quarantine orders, “our enforcement agents will have no choice but to shut down those services.” He threatened that the city might “permanently” close any churches violating the shutdown order.
