Parties have to justify tickets to the tainted: SC

An SC bench said political parties have to give wide publicity through newspapers and social media about the criminal antecedents of a candidate along with reasons for such selection, also specifying why ticket was not given to a candidate with clean image. It also asked parties to upload all information about pending criminal cases against its candidates on its website.
