Andy Murray, playing his first Grand Slam event in nearly 20 months after two hip operations, lost the first two sets to Yoshihito Nishioka before rallying to win the US Open first-round match 4-6, 4-6, 7-6 (5), 7-6 (4), 6-4 in 4 hours, 39 minutes.
