PRINCETON, N.J. (AP) _ Integra LifeSciences Holdings Corp. (IART) on Wednesday reported second-quarter profit of $44.8 million.

On a per-share basis, the Princeton, New Jersey-based company said it had profit of 54 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to 82 cents per share.

The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 80 cents per share.

The medical device maker posted revenue of $397.8 million in the period, also beating Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $394.5 million.

For the current quarter ending in October, Integra expects its per-share earnings to range from 78 cents to 82 cents.

The company said it expects revenue in the range of $383 million to $391 million for the fiscal third quarter. Analysts surveyed by Zacks had expected revenue of $399 million.

Integra expects full-year earnings in the range of $3.21 to $3.29 per share, with revenue ranging from $1.56 billion to $1.58 billion.
