How climate change contributes to wildfires like Chile's

At least 112 people have been killed by wildfires in central Chile. They have come amid a heat wave that pushed temperatures in the capital city of Santiago to about 37 degrees Celsius (nearly 100 degrees Fahrenheit). They also come as drought is hitting South America. Scientists say climate change is making heat waves and drought more likely, and both contribute to wildfires by drying out the fuel that feeds the blazes. The World Resources Institute say fires now destroy about twice as much forest cover as they did 20 years ago.
