Perry Barr flyover to be demolished even though athletes village plan axed

Controversial plans to demolish the Perry Barr flyover in time for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games will go ahead city council leader Ian Ward announced - after plans for an athletes' village nearby had to be axed.
