One wonders if Dr Martin shares Pope’s opinion of Higgins

If our politics haven’t been fraught enough, we are now faced with a very damaging row over President Michael D Higgins’s refusal to attend an ecumenical service in Armagh on October 21. The title of the event is Service of Reflection and Hope to mark the Centenary of the Partition of Ireland and the Formation of Northern Ireland.
