Lockdown lifted in Chinese city as Beijing district residents undergo tests

Chinese authorities lifted a monthlong lockdown on the northern city of Xi’an and its 13 million residents as infections subside ahead of the opening of the Winter Olympics in Beijing in less than two weeks.
