Surgeon general warns of winter COVID-19 uptick

U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy on Sunday warned of the risks imposed by falling temperatures and more Americans gathering indoors during the holiday season. He urged those eligible to get vaccinated or to get their booster shot. On Long Island, in test results reported on Saturday, the seven-day positivity rate climbed to 3.12%.
