Ecologists say up to 3 billion animals were killed or displaced in the bushfire disaster

Almost 3 billion mammals, reptiles, birds and frogs are estimated to have been killed or displaced by Australia’s bushfire crisis, almost tripling earlier estimates of around 1 billion.
