Hong Kong police raid pro-democracy newspaper on ‘the day press freedom died’

Jimmy Lai and other top executives of Apple Daily, Hong Kong’s largest pro-democracy daily paper, were arrested in a police raid under the new national security law on Monday morning. Police cited “collusion with foreign forces” for the raid.
