Massive Cave-in Kills at Least 50 Gold Miners Working in Unregulated Mines in East Congo

A gold mine in the Democratic Republica of Congo was the victim of a deadly cave-in where at least 50 miners were trapped and lost their lives. Rescue teams have not been able to recover the bodies due to a lack of proper working tools.
