Oil tanker that caught fire off Sri Lankan coast to pay $1.8mn

The owners agreed to pay the amount a week after Sri Lanka’s Attorney General staked a claim of $1.8 million for the costs incurred on dousing the fire on board the tanker MT New Diamond.
