A decade after Mandela's death, his pro-Palestinian legacy lives on

Days after Nelson Mandela's release from prison, he embraced the Palestinian cause. The ANC party, which Mandela belonged to, continues to support the Palestinians. Mandela's grandson, Mandla Mandela, recently hosted a solidarity conference for the Palestinians in Johannesburg. The conference was attended by members of Hamas, a group labeled as a terrorist organization by several countries. Last month, the ANC backed a motion to suspend diplomatic ties with Israel until a ceasefire in Gaza is agreed upon.
