Judge Sends Former Trump Campaign Chair Paul Manafort to Jail, Pending Trial

Paul Manafort is heading to jail before his upcoming trials for bank fraud and money laundering.

????The bail request made by the former Trump campaign chairman was revoked by US District Judge Amy Berman Jackson in Washington.

????Jackson told the lawyers quote, “This is not middle school.

I can’t take his cellphone.”??????Bloomberg reports that this came after prosecutors warned that Manafort had tried interfering with witnesses involved in his trial.

????The move is expected to force Manafort into cooperation with Special Counsel Robert Mueller and give up any information he has about Trump’s campaign.

????Four days after after prosecutors made a detention request, Manafort and another associate was indicted by a grand jury for witness tampering.

????Manafort has pleaded not guilty.
