BUSES CARRYING NATIONAL GUARD TROOPS ARRIVING NEAR RED SQUARE STORY: England and Croatia fans braved a wet morning in Moscow's Red Square as they prepared for a World Cup semi-final between their sides in the city on Wednesday (July 11) night.

Fans from both countries were jumping through hoops and booking last-minute tickets to get to the match, with thousands more still expected to arrive throughout the day.

Both fan bases seemed to think their side had the upper hand, with fans of both teams saying they planned to outdo their rivals and cheer their national side to victory.

But the soggy morning was mostly left to tourism and sightseeing with the soccer slated for 9:00 p.m.

(1800 GMT) at Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium The winner of tonight's match will face France in the final on Sunday, also in Moscow.
