Muddy Water Rushes From Horsethief Canyon, California, After Heavy Rainfall

Muddy water rushed from the Horsethief Canyon in California on Thursday, December 6, after intense rainfall hit southern California.

Streets and highways were closed in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties and surrounding areas as mud and debris rolled down the canyons from the burn scars of November’s Woolsey and Hill Fires, while heavy snow at the Grapevine briefly closed Interstate 5.
