Judge Sets Roger Stone's Court Date

Roger Stone is set to go to trial in early November.

Stone, a long-time associate of President Trump, has been charged with lying about his efforts to contact WikiLeaks in 2016.

On Thursday, U.S. District Court Judge Amy Berman Jackson set his trial for Nov.

5 in Washington.

Stone has pleaded not guilty to charges of witness tampering, obstruction and lying to Congress.

He was released on bail after his arrest seven weeks ago.

The judge did not address one issue that many expected her to: the potential for Stone's upcoming book to break his gag order.

Stone's court date is set for months from now due to the high volume of evidence his lawyers will have to sift through before trial.

His defense team says special counsel Robert Mueller's team has sent it several terabytes of data.
