The Macon Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting Monday morning to mark an unofficial countdown for the completion of a new shopping plaza in North Macon off of Bass Road.

The center is being developed by the sembler company and berkley development.

Both joint venture partners are investing more than 30 million dollars into the shopping center.

The north macon plaza will feature more than one hundred and sixty thousand square feet of retail and will offer a number of new and returning retailers to the macon-bibb county market... including marshall's, michaels, old navy, five below, famous footwear and many more retailers.... i think the center will be comfortable being pedestrian-oriented and very white sidewalks ample parking architectural appealing i think it would be a pleasant place, a pleasant place to visit the shopping center is located off of i-75 and bass road.

And it is expected to have its grand opening this fall.
