According to a report by Reuters, on Sunday, Pope Francis will begin a trip to Bulgaria and North Macedonia where he will meet with the dominant Eastern Orthodox Church in the two Balkan countries where Catholics are a small minority.

Bulgaria is home to 7.1 million people, however only about 58,000 of those people are Catholics, similarly, in North Macedonia has a population of 2 million, with just 15,000 Catholics.
