that over 10 years, $2.4 trillion can
be generated by a 0.5% tax.
Bernie Sanders campaign, via statement The proposal is similar to
another one issued by fellow
2020 candidate Elizabeth Warren.
For her own student debt plan,
Warren wants a 2% tax on people
with fortunes $50 million or higher.
For those with over $1 billion, the
Massachusetts senator's plan
tacks on a 1% wealth tax.
According to CBS, over 40 million people still owe money from school.
