Last time we won in the last minute against South Africa.

Today we lost and that's football." STORY: Algeria forward Riyad Mahrez curled in a free kick in stoppage time to give Algeria a 2-1 win over Nigeria in a tense Africa Cup of Nations semi-final played in a volatile atmosphere on Sunday (July 14).

The Manchester City forward said the win provided the team with more confidence going into the final, their first appearance in the final since their sole continental victory on home soil in 1990.

Algeria's coach Djamel Belmadi said his side didn't feel the opponents deserved their penalty kick late on in the game and were determined to finish the match before extra-time was forced on the game.

Algeria will face Senegal in Friday's final.
