DNC Votes Against Allowing Candidates To Participate In Exclusive Climate Debate

Democratic National Committee delegates in San Francisco voted against a debate focused on climate change.

The 222-137 vote said they would not allow candidates to participate in such a primary debate.

DNC chair Tom Perez said it was unfair to highlight some issues over others in a debate.

According to Gizmodo, the DNC worries this may open the door to other single-issue debates.

In September there will be two presidential forums allowing candidates to explain their platforms.
