News now... the supreme court says the trump administration can enforce new rules aimed at keeping many central american migrants from seeking asylum in the u-s.

The policy allows only migrants who have been denied asylum in another country, or are victims of "severe" human trafficking, to apply for asylum in the u-s.

According to c-n-n... the e-p-a is expected to announce today... it's getting rid of a clean water regulation implemented during the obama administration.

The waters of the united states' policy lays out which bodies of water are protected under the federal clean water act.'

Critics have long said the regulations are too restrictive ... and amount to government overreach.

Supporters say they're necessary to prevent water pollution.

((ad lib weather)) there's severe weather damage to clean up in winona this morning.

According to the national weather service ... yesterday's early morning storms produced an e- f-one tornado in woodlawn cemetery.

Nobody was hurt.

In the short time the tornado was on the ground ... it knocked trees onto a building and several headstones.

That same storm system produced three e-f-two tornadoes in sioux falls, south dakota.

As you're seeing ... there is widespread damage.

Eight people suffered minor injuries as one of those tornadoes hit a hospital complex.

New this morning... a new study out of johns hopkins' suggests a link between social media and mental health problems. the study of thousands of teens finds ... the ones who spet more than three- hours per day on social media were more likely to report feeling depressed, anxious, or lonely.... compared to teens who didn't use social media.

The trump administration says it is taking steps to ban flavored e- cigarettes.

President trump announced the effort in response to a recent surge in vaping among young people.

The f-d-a will develop guidelines to remove all e- cigarette flavors, except tobacco, from the market.

Happening tonight in texas: another debate between democrats who want to challenge president trump in 20-20.

These are the ten candidates who made the cut... and will be on the stage in houston.

You can watch tonight's debate on a-b-c platforms. more storms are impacting the region this morning, and expect perhaps more storms later this morning... then more storms later this afternoon into part of tonight.

Some of the storms could be strong from about 3pm to 11pm.

Locally heavy rainfall is still possible as well and a flash flood watch is in effect for the region through midnight tonight.
