Ed Davey and Sal Brinton appointed interim Lib Dem leaders

Sir Ed Davey and Sal Brinton have been appointed interim joint leaders of the Liberal Democrats, after party leader Jo Swinson lost her East Dunbartonshire seat.

Sir Ed lost the Lib Dem leadership election to Ms Swinson in July 2019, and must rebuild the party's election following a bruising general election.
