States launch investigation into vaping company JUUL

A coalition involving dozens of states is looking into claims that the company has targeted youth with its products.

The 39-state coalition will look at to what extent juul has marketed itself as an effective smoking alternative, arguing that the company was never approved by the food and drug administration to advertise itself as a smoking cessation dece.

A recent study found that juul- use increased last year, despite warnings of how dangerous vaping can be.

According to the wall street journal-- the company now plans to present to federal regulators a new version of its vaporizer, designed to only unlock for users over the age of 21.
