A doniphan county woman has taken it upon herself to find money for an animal shelter...something the county does not have.

Trina earl is an animal lover and has fostered animals for several years now.

She has teamed up with local volunteers to start a non-profit organization called the doniphan county pet rescue.

Earl says she has a special connection to animals.
