It's championship saturday across the state of indiana.

Sports 10 made five stops at different sectionals across the wabash valley as several schools looked to continue playing for at least one more week.

Up at southmont, the parke heritage wolves looked for their first sectional title as they took on north putnman.

Time coming to an end in the 1st qtr, cougars try to get a buzzer beater but its offline.

The wolves were absolutely red hot from behind the arc in the first half as riley ferguson hits this corner three.

Parke heritage leads by 11 at the half.

4th qtr, cougars have made this a close one now when johnson drives into the lane and rises over three defenders for the bucket and the foul.

Wolves back in front by five.

Less than two to play and johnson finds connor davis wide open underneath the rim for the easy bucket and that would seal it.

For the first time in the program's history the parke heritage wolves are sectional champions, winning 61-49.

After their historic win, the parke heritage senior class spoke about this career defining moment.

<we worked so hard in the offseason to get us where we're at today.

I've waited four years for this moment and there's nothing better than this moment right here.

I didn't even think i was going to play basketball two years ago, and you know, these guys dragged me out here and i'm so happy they did.

I wouldn't have thought this was possible two years ago.
