A case of coronavirus is confirmed in olmsted county.

There are now a total of 5 confirmed cases in the state of minnesota.

Fill us in on the latest.xxx live raquel nobody said the words "don't panic" at this afternoon's news conference, but the message was undeniable and makes a lot of sense.

Don't panic.xxx at this afternoon's hastily assembled news conferenceáááá the messaging was clear and concise.

Graham briggs, the director of olmsted county public health shared that a single case of coronavirus has been confirmed here.

That person has been treated, is at home and recovering.

Their prognosis is good.

Doctors believe the patient came in contact with the virus while traveling in a location where there are a greater number of cases.

Briggs, though, was clear.

We all need to be thinking about what we will do if community spread cases turn up here.

It's really time to consider now, what you are going to do now if we do start making recommendatio ns around local transmission that might involve cancellation of travel or cancellation of meetings or moving the way that you do live your daily life for the short term.

Briggs tone throughout the newser was unfailingly optimistic.

He is confident that the vast majority of coronavirus cases are and will be mildáááá with patients exhibiting little more than a fever... runny nose and cough.
