The kentucky virtual library is making it easy, by expanding their services to all students, teachers, parents and... any kentuckians with a public library card.

The website contains information from a collaboration of resources, including encyclopedias, articles, scholastic go, health research, job and career sources and even for a short time, access to ancestry dot com.

K-y-v-l executive director i-lona burdette says this is a great way to go beyond the casual internet browse.

There are two ways to obtain a password.

Students with a verifiable school email address can visit the website and enter a password request and follow the steps from there.

The other way is by contacting your local public library and they will assist you through the process.

Burdette says the mission of the kentucky virtual library is to provide all kentuckians a common foundation of high-quality resources, and support in their use, to enhance lifelong learning, working and living.
