Deerfield students pick up learning materials

Deerfield Elementary students picked up personal belongings and learning materials from school.

That doesn't mean the learning has stopped.

New tonight...parents of deerfield elementary school students were able to pick up learning materials, as well as any personal belongings their kids may have left behind when the schools shut down.

Teachers have been busy preparing the learning materials for students so they can remain focused and move forward during this very trying and difficult school year.

"this is a new situation for all of us, but we want to keep them on the best routine that we can.

We have great support from our board and our administration.

The teachers have been excellent working with the parents and the families" " i miss my friends, but it's for the best so we don't get sick."

To comply with cdc social distancing guidelines, teachers and staff brought the items directly to the parents while they remained in their vehicles.
