Many local bike shops in Chico are still open for business, they consider themselves essential because they are providing transportation.

I spoke to the owner of chico bike and board and he is not the only bike shop owner keeping his business ope the owner of chico bike and board, brian daellenback says he's owned the shop for almost 24 years and right now they're facing a lot of uncertainty with fewer people coming through their doors&.but he is staying optimistic.

We were blessed to find out we are considered vital infrastructure so chico is blessed to have a lot of really good bike shops, we want to hang in there and keep our employees employed and keep it together until things turn normal.

He says he did some research and looked at the recommendations online and decided he wanted to continue serving the public and providing transportation until he was told otherwise.

He is following the c- d-c guidelines of social distancing and keeping the store extra clean.

And i checked-- north rim bike shop and campus bikes were some of the few still open as well.
