Neighbors on Sunrise Terrace in Marcy gather outside to sing God Bless America

Of sunrise terrace in marcy decided to get together and show their support for america and each other, during the coronavirus crisis.

From a distance of course.

"god bless america.

Land that i love" tonight, they gathered outside their homes... many of them waving american flags... to sing god bless america and a few other patriotic songs.

Monica schmadel (shh-may-del) says she had heard of other communities around the country showing similar signs of support and decided to get her neighbors involved.

"i called everybody on the street friday.

All afternoon i was on the phone catching up with my neighbors, but it was fun.

It's something uplifting for a change."

Monica say once everybody is free to move around again she'd like to see her neighbors do an encore.

Only this time, together.
