Day that passes gets tougher on businesses forced to close because of the coronavirus concerns... for 115 years one tupelo business survived wars, depressions and recessions... today chelsea brown spoke with the manager at reed's department store about making it through a pandemic... here is downtown (describe) when the coronavirus outbreak started reeds first tried to offer curbside sales, then switching to just selling apparel online.

At the beginning of april, bennett reed mize, the manager and digital director for reeds says is when the decision was made to close the store temporarily.

Mize describes his employees as family and closing the store was what was best for the safety "first and foremost take care of our employees and of coarse our customers.

We want everyone to stay safe and not worry about where they are getting a paycheck and more if they are washing their hands.

We want to make sure everyone is there in the future for when we do get back to work" larger retail providers like patagonia have reached out to reed's to make sure that the store is doing okay and will be able to reopen.
