As we look at the impacts on our community during the epidemic we cant forget about animals that call it home too..

Animal adoptions are down at one local shelter... butte human society's executive director says usually they adopt out 100 animals per month& since the stay at home order went into effect they've seen about 60 dog and cat adoptions.

Woodcox says all paperwork is online via phone or skype and when an exchange does take place the volunteers wear masks and gloves.

Which makes sense they're home the butte human society has a pet food pantry that helped out during the camp fire.

Thanks to a grant and generous donations they are able to deliver pet food to those who really need itã like people who can't leave their house or for health reasons.
