MADRID, SPAIN — A video from Spain has surfaced showing a group of hero residents rescuing a pensioner who was dangling from a second-floor balcony.
The neighbors were filmed banding together to create a human chain after a 70-year-old man was hanging from his flat in San Jose, on the outskirts of Madrid.
Citing local media, the man named Juan Pena was eventually lowered safely to the mattress, however, it's currently unclear why he was hanging from the balcony; nonetheless, the local media report that he was not injured.
The video posted to Twitter on the 19th of April has so-far received nearly 500,000 views and has been met with a series of applause.
