Because the new "safer at home" order starts tomorrow at 5pm, crestwood hospital is gearing up to start elective surgeries again.

At the same time, the madison county commission is making plans to re-open county offices and the courthouse next week.

Crestwood ceo dr. pam hudson told us while re-opening is nerve-wracking for her, she hopes businesses and customers will be responsible.

We asked if she thinks its too soon.

I don't have an opinion about what should open and what shouldn't open rather than making sure we can have those good solid public health measures that we all have responsibility to help our businesses be able to maintain.

Hudson is hopeful stores maintain special shopping hours for people considered high-risk.

Madison county commission chairman dale strong says they're going to require the public and all employees to wear a face cover when inside a county office or in the courthouse.
