It's time for part two of my 3-part series with fox sports one analyst rob parker in this episode we're talking trae young and the atlanta hawks .

Alright rob ... welcome back for round 2 ... i'm going to be honest.

The hawks are terrible.

I love trae young, but the hawks are terrible ... hit me with it ... "the hawks shouldn't be as bad as they are.

I mean, trae young is a big star in the league.

I get it.

Not a great defensive player, but boy can he put up points.

But to think with the stoppage of the league and the postponement of play that the hawks are the next to the last team in the east.

20-47 is an ugly record, considering some of the young talent that the team has.

But, he's not going to get the ultimate respect until his team starts to win.

Because anybody can put up numbers on a losing team.

I've seen it happen in the nba a lot.

And it happen in the team.

I've seen on a losing put up numbers on a losing team.

I've seen it happen in the nba a lot.

And he'll get more respect as they start to win."

Alright rob ... let's circle back to trae young for a minute.

I think he's a bonafide star.

I think his ceiling is higher than luka's, and if he's not better than luka right now, he's just as good.

Obviously he's not winning, but i think he's bonafide superstar.

Talk to me about trae young ... "trae young is a star.

I don't think there's any doubt about that, but he's not going to get the ultimate respect until his team starts to win.

And i say that.

Let's talk head coach lloyd pierce real quick.

I know happy that it's another black head coach.

I get it.

But it just seems like he's underachieving.

It seems like the team isn't buying in.

What are your thoughts on coach pierce?

"in this nba, coaches get a lot of blame and i get it.

Coaches just don't stick around that long if things go south.

But i still think more important than just changing the coach is adding more talent.

Guys need two or three players two really be able to make a run at this nba.

Trae young is a nice piece.

You got a couple other nice pieces at well.

But they might need another start to compliment trae young.

And then maybe the hawks will be on the right direction."

Alright rob ... last question ... i know the hawks are young, but how high can they go?

"i think the hawks can contend for a playoffs spot.

Beyond that.

The way that they're put together right now, i don't see much more than that.

The east is going to be tough.

Tougher when brooklyn gets healthy.

And when you just look at some of the other team - toronto, philly.

It's tough eastern conference, so as far as making the
