Footage shows caretaker Michelle wearing a party hat and sitting by Yaku, who is munching on fish treats, during his 20th birthday celebration at the aquarium in Chicago, Illinois in the United States.
In the wild, sea otters can live around 10-15 years.
However, in human care at facilities, they can live into their early twenties, Shedd spokesman Johnny Ford told Reuters.
