After reviewing initial results of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s probe into an April 27 deputy-involved shooting in Crawford County, Macon Judicial Circuit District Attorney David Cooke announced Tuesday the shooting has been deemed justified.

The shooting happened on april 27th... following a domestic call at a home on richarson mill road.

The gbi's investigation revealed 33-year-old jamie darley led deputies on a chase and fired a revolver at deputies ... as he ran toward his family with the weapon.

Lt.

William owenby fired a shot wounding darley.

And darley later died at the hospital.

Cooke says based on the evidence ... owenby was justified in his actions.

Once on the scene, the deputies talked with several members of darley's family who said that he'd consumed a half bottle of liquor and tried to kick in the front door of their home while holding a gun cooke says ... there should be no reason
