Pet of the Week - Ole Red

Home... his name is ole red.

And he's a hound-rodesian ridgeback mix and about seven years old... chris maynard from the tupelo -lee humane society will tell you more about him... hey friends, i'm chris maynard.

I'm a volunteer with the tupelo lee humane society.

And today i've got one of our special friends named red.

Red is between seven and eight years old.

And the great news that we have to report about him today is that he finished his heart worm treatment yesterday, which in a lot of cases, makes him more adoptable.

He's still got a few weeks of being leash walked only he's not supposed to run.

But as you can tell, he's pretty content just being here in my lap.

What we know about him is here at the shelter, he's good with other animals.

He was in a foster home for a little while, and was a little jealous of the other pets that were there so he might do best in a home with no other animals.

We feel like with his age and his disposition, he probably would not enjoy small children.

He seems to enjoy calm, but he does well on a leash.

I've been out with this morning and he appears to be housebroken.

He's definitely familiar with being inside.
