SOU's Small Business Development Center helps businesses as they reopen

The SBDC has hosted free webinars for small business owners throughout the COVID-19 response.

As of today, oregon health authority are reviewing reopening applications for 32 counties in oregon including all in southern oregon.

There is currently no status for clackamas, lincoln, and multnomah counties.

Multnomah continues to report a large increase in cases --- with more than 900 total confirmed cases of the coronavirus.

Etailers will be allowed to open this friday.

(topic key) if those businesses decide to reopen, they have to follow strict rules.

While most of the focus for reopening will be on safety, there is also the challenge of getting customers to come shop.

That's where southern oregon university's small business development center hopes to help.

(take marshall key) marshall doak says, "so part of our task is to understand those regulations, how they affect businesses, help get the word out and help individual businesses prepare their businesses on a personalized basis so that they're ready to go back into business.

And so we're dealing right on the edge of despair and opportunity at this particular moment."
